About Me
This project is run as a capstone project for the Ridge View High School Scholars Academy for Business and Law.

I am interested in this topic because it has significance to my life. I have been diagnosed with ADHD for as long as I remember and I’ve seen its effects on my life. It is a very large part of who I am and why I do things the way I do. I only recently gained an understanding of exactly what this disorder does as I was never told anything about ADHD other than the fact that I have it. I plan to do my research on how teachers are educated on how to help their students with learning disorders. I’m almost positive that, despite the very obvious benefits that it would have, there is minimal training on how to help students with learning disorders.
My future goal with this project is to push the creation of workshops for teachers that would benefit students with learning disabilities such as ADHD and ASD. These workshops should be centered around educating teacher about common learning disorders that would be encountered in the classroom as well as to give specific strategies for teachers that would better the learning environment of their students with learning disabilities. This could also help to push toward increasing acceptance and accommodation of students with learning disabilities.
